Dream Street™ History
Jim and Judy Crawford were experienced Real Estate Brokers with RE/MAX in 1999 and wanted to set up a Real Estate business of their own.
They were trying to come up with a name and were even carrying a legal pad with them everywhere they went so they could write down any creative thoughts as the name came to them.
It was the fall of 1999 when they heard a “Follow You Dreams” sermon at Church. After the service and they got in the car, Judy wrote down “Dream Street” on the legal pad and Dream Street began.
The Dream Street Logo was designed on December 12, 1999, and was registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office.
The webmaster changed the website, Atlantas-Homes.com, from RE/MAX to Dream Street at 1201 AM on January 1, 2000, which is the first use in commerce date.
The domain names DreamStreetProperties.com and DreamStreetRealEstate.com and 15 other domains with “Dream Street” in the name were acquired to protect the Trademark and increase the presence of the mark on the web.
The Dream Street slogan “Dreams Can Happen” was first used in commerce on our website on October 15, 2004.
The Dream Street Trademark is actively enforcing the mark and has had success in making unauthorized users stop using the Dream Street Trademark in their domain names and several companies have stopped using the name.
There is already a Real Estate company in Augusta, Georgia using the Dream Street Trademark with permission from Dream Street Properties, LLC. Dream Street CSRA, LLC. www.DreamStreetCSRA.com. It was started in 2019 to serve several counties in Georgia including Augusta and several counties in South Carolina including North Augusta and Aiken. That market area is called the Central Savannah River Area. (CSRA).
The Managing Member of Dream Street Properties, LLC is Jim Crawford who is licensed in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
